TOKOMARU.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOMARU, iMay 23. A kitchen tea was tendered to Mies Clara Jamieson on Friday evening last in view oi her approaching marriage. The music lor dancing was supplied by Messrs F. Perry (piuno), E. Guy (drums), and M. Grilhths (banjo). Extras were played by Mrs R. Atkinson and Mr Knyvett. Mr C. Osman capably carried out the duties of M.C. A dainty supper was served by the ladios responsible tor tho evening. Mr K. Guy called upon Miss Jamieson and Mr Taylor to accept the fine array of handsome and useful gifts. Mr Taylor suitably replied and musical honours were accorded tho happy couple. Tho dance ended in the early hours of the morning with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” A Rugby football match played between Foxton and Tokomaru at Tokomaru on Saturday resulted in a win for Foxton by 16 points to nil. Miss R. Free is spending a holiday in Foxton with her sister, Mrs G. CulL
