MR BERNARD SHAW.
PLANS FOR CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 7. A telegram was sent to Mr Bernard Shaw at Kaikoura bv the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.), asking whether he would attend a reception at Christchurch and whether it should be civic or private. Mr Shaw replied: “Please settle nothing until my arrival this afternoon.” A meeting of unemployed will be held in Latimer Square to-morrow afternoon and the organisers have invited Mr Shaw to attend and express bis views on unemployment.
