MARKETING BOARD’S FUNDS.

Commenting at a recent meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research on the effect of the cessation of the Empire Marketing Board’s grants, the chairman (Mr G. Sliirtcliffe) said it would seem that the available funds should be conserved for the purpose of maintaining such fundamental researches as play an allimportant part in the development of the Dominion’s natural resources.
