During the year 1933 Hungary’s foreign trade showed a decided improvement. The value of exports increased by 20 per oent. and that of imports decreased by 5 per cent., leaving a favourable balance of about £3,_ 500,000. Chief exports were wheat and live stock, while the chief import item was wood. In 1932, Hungary had an unfavourable trade balance.
