WORKERS’ BOOTS.
HOTEL DIRECTOR’S BAN. “My rooms are not for workmen’s boots,” said the director of a large Ivarlsruhe (Germany) hotel, recently. He had been asked to supply a meal to 200 workingclass tourists. . When the local Nazi leader heard of the director’s reply he jiromptly sent him to a labour camp for one month s manual work. The offender will be required to wear heavy boots in order to teach him that German workman’s boots can also fit so-called gentlemen.
