e KERNELS OF APRICOTS. MELBOURNE, April 5. A new industry has arisen in the export of apricot kernels, many tons of which have been supplied by Australia to London and Europe in the past six months. They will l>e used in the manufacture of cosmetics and high explosives. Apricot kernels are now known to contain a high percentage of oil adaptable to use in cosmetics, while the pulp or residue contains chemicals usable in other directions.
