(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY", April 4. The twenty-fifth anniversary is being celebrated of the establishment of the Port of London Authority which superseded the various dock and other companies which formerly exercised powers over the tidal waters of the Thames. In the interval immense improvements to the waterway by. dredging, and a comprehensive programme of development of dock svstems and warehouse accommodation have been effected to facilitate the handling of increased passenger and goods traffio. In 1908 the total net registered tonnage of vessels arriving at and departing from the port amounted to 38,510,979 tons. In 1933 it was 56,480,004.
