KNOCKED THROUGH WINDOW.

CAR STRIKES PEDESTRIAN

WELLINGTON, March 13. A car driven by Miss Ruth Hay crashed into Messrs Adams Bruce and Co.’s shop window shortly after -5 o’clock this evening and Mr C. S. Clarke, New Zealand manager for an insurance company, who was walking up Willis Street, was knocked through the plate glass by the front of the car and later taken to hospital. Mr Clarke received a compound fracture of the right leg and minor cuts. Miss Hay, the sole occupant of the car, was severely shaken.
