Per Press Association. HAWERA, March 14. Pleading guilty to carrying on a business as a bookmaker, William Elder, tea rooms proprietor, was fined £IOO to-day, in. default three months’ gaol. He was also convicted and order to pay costs on a charge of keeping a common gaming house. He had been previously convicted on two charges of assisting in keeping a common gaming house. iliree men who were found on the premises when the nolice raided them jn March 3 were fined £2 each.
