RIFLE SHOOTING.

ASHHURST DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The Aslihurst Defence Rifle Club held their weekly shoot last Saturday, the afternoon being fine with a gusty right wind which at times was nearly calm and would spring up suddenly into little gusts. Light troubles were frequent, the targets being bright one minute and shadowed by a passing cloud the next. Good scores were ft feature of the 200yds range, where the members used open sights. Scoring at the 300yds was not quite so good, though some very creditable totals were returned. Following are the detailed scores; C. Thomson 29—27—12 —6B; A. Youle 30—21—16—67; R. A.
