BLOW FOR MINERS.
FIVE HUNDRED DISMISSED. Received October 31, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 31. The mining town of Cessnock received a severe blow when 500 employees of the Aberdare extended colliery, one of the oldest in the Cessnock district, received notice of dismissal.
