Mr J. B. Gerrand is at present indisposed and confined to his home. The Palmerston North Rotary Club yesterday. passed a resolution of sympathy with him and expressing the hope for his speedy recovery. Similar sentiments were expressed concerning Mr F. J. Nathan, who will be confined to his home for a month under medical advice, and Mr Jas. Wallace, who is recovering from a serious illness. The Palmerston North Rotary Club yesterday passed a resolution placing on record its deep appreciation of the services rendered by the late Mr S. L. Freeman, and conveying its profound sympathy to the bereaved relatives. The president (Mr W. G. Black) stated that the late Mr Freeman had been a member of the Rotary Club since April of 1928, and had participated in every phase of its activities, besides being associated with, other community organisations. His demise had come as a great shock.
