SYDNEY SALE PRICES. SPLENDID CLEARANCES MADE. KEEN GENERAL BUYING. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, Oct. 30. The Sydney wool sales were resumed to-day under the keenest competition from all sections. The market showed an advance of from 7t) to 10 per cent, on the closing rates of the previous Sydney series. Good free wools'revealed the full extent of the advance, comebacks and crossbreds were in keen request, and splendid clearances were effected. Greasy Merino fleece made 25Jd, which is the top price of the season here, obtained for live bales from Barraba. The offerings totalled 11,666 bales, of which 11,320 were sold at auction, also 2619 were sold privately. FIRM MELBOURNE TONE. NEW RECORDS MADE. Received October 31, 10.15 a.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 31. At the wool sales 10,400 bales were offered and a 99 per cent, clearance was effected. Tlie market was very strong at firmer rates and new records for the season were established. Greasy Merino sold to 23d per lb. and scoured to 31d. BRADFORD MORE BUSY. Received October 31, 11.5 a.m. LONDON,,-Oct. 30. On the Bradford tops market there is more business with the tendency against the buyers.
