Tho plumbing', drainage and sanitary work of tlio Vacuum Products (N.Z.) Ltd., building in the hands of Messrs Holbcn and Kirk Ltd., has well sustained tho high standard of work done by this old established firm, which is also responsible for the supply and erection of tho power pumping plant, comprising a Goulds double acting piston pump, giving a high pressure flow of water for tho operation of tho Vacuum process. One of tho most striking features on tho facado of tho building, is tho namo “Vacuum Products (N.Z.) Ltd.” cut to tho architect’s design by Messrs Holben and Kirk, Ltd., in 14 inch block letters of Staybrite steel, fastened to black parallel rails standing some inches out in relief from the plastered front. Tho silvery finish of tho steel, which always remains bright, gives a very pleasing and distinctive effect to tho • frontage oif the i building.—Advt.
