NEW YORK STATE. Received Octhber 30, 1.45 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 29. It is announced that a fifth of all the children in New York St arc are in families receiving public relief. A ninth of the population, approximately 1,500,000 persons, are on certified relief rolls. Juvenile relief statistics became necessary when the Administration was required to compute its requirements of cod liver oil for the coming winter.
