SUIT BY PRINCESS.
ACTION FOR LIBEL. NEW YORK, Oct. 27. Princess Irian, wife of Prince Felir Yousoupoulf, who, in her legal papers, is said to be a cousin of King George, the ex-Ivaiser, and the late Tsar, has filed a two-million-dollar libel suit against the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Corporation, producer of the film “Rasputin and the Empress.” Princess Irian alleges that the character in the motion picture of Princess Natash, who in the film introduces the monk into the Tsar’s household, and then becomes his mistress, is so thinly veiled that people throughout the world have recognised the character as herself. She further charges that the foreward to the film declares: “A few characters are still alive. The rest have met death by violence,” and that she and her husband are the only ones involved in the action now living.
