LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT. A dose call was witnessed at the Cook Street level crossing yesterday. In watching a shunting engine, Mr J. Moore, of Taihape, failed to notice tlie approach of the Wellington express from the opposite direction when lie was crossing the line in his car, and found the train nearly upon him when the car was within a few feet of the rails.
