SHOPS DESTROYED.
EIRE AT OPOTIKI

OPOTIKI, Sept. 26. At 4 o’clock this morning three shops were gutted by fire and the contents were destroyed. One adjoining shop was damaged and the contents were ruined. The fire was in the centre of the town and the origin was unknown. The occupiers were Mrs Patterson, Auld and Co., Mr G. Dawson and a Chinaman. The owner is Mr W. Oakes.
