BAND CONTEST.
WELLINGTON LIKELY VENUE. Per Press Asosciation. WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. The president of the New Zealand Brass Bands Association, Mr H. B. Bennett, in a statement to-day, said the next contest was now likely to take place at Wellington in February. An application had been received from Wanganui, but ho thought the venue would be Wellington. A report concerning the Brass Bands Association’s acceptance of the Palmerston North Contest Committee’s ultimatum appears on page 6.
