CITY BAND.
SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT. There was a large and appreciative audience present at the Opera House, last night, when a concert programmo was presented by the City Band, the performers including several artists of merit front Wanganui and further afield. The programme presented was as under: —Selection, Band; song, ’Master Jamieson (hoy soprano); item, Harmonica Band; monologue, Miss Doreen Saunders; song, Mrs Russell Scoular (Wanganui); item, Mr It. Winiata and party; recitation, sentimental, Mr R. McCulloch; song, Ah- Tabor; lightning sketches, Mr MeGilvray; selection, Band; duet, humorous, Miss Doreen Saunders and Mr Tabor; item, steel guitar, Mr Winiata; song, Mrs Scoular; item, Harmonica Band; elocution, Miss Doreen Saunders; song, Master Jamieson; selection, City Band; “God Save the King.” Mrs McNeilly made a very sympathetic accompaniste. At the conclusion of the programme thanks were expressed on behalf of the hand for the generous support which had been accorded them. As a result the uniform fund of the hand will benefit to an appreciable degree.
