CONSTABLES CHASE AFTER CAR THIEF.-The stationary motor car against which Constable E. E Stewart was crushed at Auckland on Tuesday night, when he was hurled from the running board of the stolen car, the driver of which he pluckily attempted to arrest. The constable was seriously injured but his condition is now improving.
