FINGERPRINT CLUE.
KIRAVEE SHOOTING AFFRAY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 23. A good set of fingerprints is the most promising clue in the possession of the police in the case of the shooting of Allott Caygill Gallagher at Kirwee, on AA’ednesday la.st. The prints are from a magneto stolen from a tractor at the time. This, taken in conjunction with a series of thefts of motor car parts from the district in recent weeks, may lead to a solution. The fingerprints have been forwarded to the Criminal Registration Department in AA 7 ellington. Mr Gallagher is progressing favourably.
