INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES.
MANAWATU BRANCH FORMED. Known as the Manawatu _ branch of the Insurance Agents’ Association, an organisation has been formed at this centre to promote friendly relationship between insurance agents in this district and other places. The Wellington Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association has approved of its formation. Presiding at a recent meeting which decided that membership should be restricted to agents of associated insurance companies, the representatives of such agents, or the direct representatives of the Associated Insurance Companies, Mr R. H. Spencer stated that the newly-formed association had the support of 34 chief agents, 10 inspectors and a number of sub-agents in Palmerston North, in addition to various agents in adjoining towns. Officers have been elected as follow: Chairman, Mr R. H. Spencer; committee, Messrs R. H. Pavitt, M. J. McArtney, T. M. N. Rodgers, F. C. Elgar and H. W. Mullaney (secretary) .
