OPTIMISTS’ CLUB.
Optimist K. Collinson presided over a large attendance of Optimists at the weekly luncheon of the Palmerston North Optimists’ Club held yesterday in Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s luncheon room. Mr D. S. Robinson, of the Department of Agriculture, was the speaker for the day and gave an interesting talk on “Bees: Their Habits.” The address was a very, instructive one and keen attention was paid to the speaker. A vote of thanks to Mr Robinson was passed on the motion of the chairman. Mr Robinson has kindly consented to continue his subject next Friday when Optimist R. Metcalfe will preside. An apology for alienee was received from Optimist A. Mutch. Mr Guy was welcomed as a visitor.
