A FORTUNATE ESCAPE. Received September 23, 12.50 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 22. Three men fired five shots at Mr Newall and his son James at Belfast and then escaped in a motor ear driven by a woman. The father’s macintosh coat was pierced in two places yet he escaped injury. Last year two armed men raided All' Newall’s house and refused to recognise a sentence of eighteen months imposed by the Antrim Court, as they were soldiers of the I.R.A.
