An incident in connection with the de-. cision of a race at the Geraldine Racing Club’s meeting to-day resulted in the suspension of a jockey. C. Eastwood, rider of Royal Amphora, was suspended till October 1 for striking G. Humphries, rider of Manetho, with his whip after passing the post in the Raukapuka Handicap. Humphries was cautioned for coming in too quickly at the far turn and causing Dracula to drop back. Manetho won the event and Royal Amphora was second. HAWKESBURY MEETING. INFLATION ENGAGED. The only event of interest to New Zealand at next Saturday’s Ilawkesbury races is the Rowley Mile, for which there are four acceptors, two of whom aro Inflation 9.6 and Bayaore 8.13.
