On Sunday evening next the committee of the City Silver Band is presenting at tho Opera House a monster concert by talented artists in aid of the uniform fund. Mrs Russell Scoular, of Wanganui, who won the vocal solo at the recent Wellington competitions, will be heard to advantage. Dr Cyril Jenkins stated that the performance of Mrs Scoular was unusually brilliant and revealed talent of the highest standard. The local Harmonica Band of 15 players, under tho leadership of Mr Keen, will present its first performance trom tho public platform in all the latest ditties. Come and hoar this wonderful combination. Master Jamieson (tho boy soprano singer) as. well as a number of other talented artists, will also bo assisting.
