RUMBERG v. PATTERSON. “Leave him to mo,” was Rumberg’s comment to the referee when Patterson was being rebuked and cautioned by the referee for questionable tactics on tho occasion of their last bout, and .as Rumborg is about throe pounds heavier than big •Jake, tho referee left it in his hands. But the bout was a real thriller and ill such wise is likely to be repeated on Tuesday night at the Opera House when they meet for the second time in New Zealand. Rumborg has not been _ defeated since his arrival in the Dominion, and is showing such good form that only a man of Patterson’s weight, or _ George Walker’s skill and strength, is likely to bring about his defeat. He is able to “mix it” with tho best as well as show remarkable activity for such a big man, so Tuesday night’s entertainment should prove another of the successful occasions on which the public gets its money's worth. Tho box plans open on Saturday next at tho Central Booking Office.
