REICHSTAG FIRE SUSPECT. UNOFFICIAL COMMISSION’S DECISION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright A Received September 21, 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 20. The Reichstag fire “commission,”' while admitting that it had not all the evidence, found unanimously that Torgler and Dimitrova were not guilty of the Reichstag fire. The innocence of Taneff and Popoff was indicated. Van der Luble, who is halfblind, had not been connected with the Communists since 1931. He had sometimes delivered pro-Nazi speeches. There was grave reason to suspect that leading Nazi personalities were responsible for the fire. A proper juridical body should investigate these suspicions, it was stated. THE GERMAN REPLY. (Times Cables.) Received September 21, 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 20. The Berlin correspondent of the London Times says that Herr Frank, Commissioner of J ustice, declares that the London inquiry lias furnished further proof of the guilt of world Communism. It would have been an act of self-destruction for Nazis to fire the Reichstag just at tlie moment when they eould have victoriously entered it amid the jubilations of the nation.
