“INTEREST AND USURY.”
PALMERSTON NORTH PUBLICATION. Outlining the principles of currency reform by a svstem of national banking, an interesting brochure entitled “Interest and Usury” has been published in Palmerston North by a wellknown citizen under the nom-de-plume of Jonathan Roberts. The booklet is stated to be connected with no political organisation and is issued on its own merits. It should be of interest to students of monetary problems. The Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford) in a foreward, stated that while some readers may find themselves in disagreement with the argument put forward by Jonathan Roberts, it may be the means of inducing many to re-ex-amine their opinions of present-day banking methods.
