EXTRACTS FROM “STAN r '4RD.” SEPTEMBER 19, 1903. Those atending a meeting of the District High School Committee were Rev. C. C. Harper (chairman), . Messrs Rutherfurd, Barnieoat, Palmer, Hirseh (secretary) and Vernon (rector). The attendance at the school was stated to be 174. An airship had been steered from Crystal Palace to St. Paid’s before the wind by Percival Spencer, who found himself unable to return. A public hall was to be erected at Glen Oroua, the site being a donation from Mr J. Sanson.
