RENEWAL OF LEASE.

TAKARO CLUB’S GROUNDS. Application was made to the Palmerston North City Council, last evening, by the Takaro Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Club, whose lease of their grounds expires on October 1 next, for a renewal of the lease for a further term of 10 years in accordance with the present conditions. It was agreed to grant a new lease for a further period of five years in accordance with the present conditions and a rental of £166 per annum, subject to a reduction of £l6 per year during the currency of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, and that any labour required in addition to the services of the one man now employed on the grounds shall be hired ana paid for by the club.
