FAIR, WITH SHOWERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. A series of westerly depressions has been passing in the south, that of last night being a deep one. In the north pressure has remained high, but is likely to fall now as the last of the series of depressions advances from the Tasman Sea. Forecast: to strong west to north winds, reaching gale force at times in exposed positions. Weather: Mainly fair and mild, but some showers likely in and west of the ranges. Seas rough.
