ROYAL ASSENT EXPECTED. Received September IS, 11.5 a.m T , . A , SYDNEY, Sept. IS. it is expected in political circles that Royal assent will be given within a tew days to the machinery Bill dealing -ith the Upper House reform. Steps will then be taken to receive nominations for the new Chamber. Mr J. T. Lang’s petition tc the King to refuse assent is not regarded with much seriousness in well-informed ouarters. 1
