Mr H. McD. Vincent, who has been associate editor of the Christchurch Sun for four years, lias been appointed editor in succession to Mr J. H. Hall.

Mr W. A. lorns, chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board, who has been on a visit to England, returned to Wellington by the Makura from San Francisco last evening. Mr C. W. R. Dart, a former master of St. Andrew’s College, Christchurch, and a son of Archdeacon Dart, of Nelson, has returned to New Zealand after two years abroad. He continued his studies at the University of Poitiers, secured the Cambridge Diploma in Education, and taught for a time at Denstone College, Staffordshire. Rev. Canon J. de B. Galwey, registrar, treasurer and secretary to the diocese of Christchurch, has communicated to the standing committee of the Synod his resignation front office. Canon Galwey, who is chaplain to the Bishop of Christchurch and an honorary canon of the Christchurch Cathedral, was appointed diocesan registrar in 1919. He has been forty years in the service of the Church, having been ordained deacon in 1893. Ho obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in the University of New Zealand in the same year. He became chaplain to the Bishop of Christchurch in 1922.
