LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLORS.
QUESTION OF APPOINTMENTS
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. It was expected that the appointment of several Legislative Councillors would be one of the first matters dealt with by lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes on his return, but it is understood to be doubtful whether any appointments will be made for some time.
In any case, if appointments are made, it is practically certain that the appointees will not be called before the, opening of Parliament on Thursday.
It is * also doubtful whether there will he an early appointment of a new Judge to succeed Mr Justice Adams.
