Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Bell has been re-elected president of the Wellington Cricket Association. The Manawatu-Orotia Power Board, yesterday afternoon, granted permission to the managing-secretary (Mr K. W. Eglinton) and the chief engineer (Mr W. A. Waters) to attend conferences in Wellington at the end of this month. A ,tribute to the valuable assistance he lias rendered to Takaro Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Club during the past five years was paid to the president, Mr A. Cooksley, at the annual meeting last evening. The patron (Mr R. Tanner), in making him a presentation from the bowlers, said Mr Cooksley was held in the highest esteem by all the members and was the equal of any president in the Dominion.
