CONVICTION QUASHED.
OPOSSUM SKIN CASE. Received Sepember 12, 1.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 12. The District Court of Appeal has quashed the conviction of Riley, Newman, Limited, who were finecl £4638 in July for having opossum skins Tn their possession. The Judge held that the actual 1 person doing the forbidden deed should be subject to tlie penalties.
