PLOTTERS FOILED.

BY SYDNEY POLICE.

SYDNEY, Sept, 10. A skilfully arranged plot to hold up a motor car containing officers who were paying unemployed relief workers in the Randwick district, was foiled by the police, who provided strong escorts at several points. The wouldbe robbers evidently were alarmed and the payments were made without trouble.

About £2OOO was involved. A decoy car was used, but presumably the plotters were warned.
