PRICE IN SYDNEY,

The first-grade petrol price has been reduced by 2d to Is 5d a gallon and second grade by one penny to Is 4d. The largest independent company, whose advent coincided with the substantial reductions, still charges Is 6d, but tho directors meet to-day to decide on action. It is understood that the other independent companies will lower their prices from Is 4d to Is 3d a gallon.
