BLENHEIM’S CARNIVAL.
OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, Sept. 10. Favoured throughout by gorgeous weather, the “Come to Blenheim” Week, which concluded on Saturday, proved an outstanding success. The town has been crowded with visitors, and the entertainment provided for their amusement seemed to be appreciated, as a gala, air was maintained throughout the events. The festivities were rounded off on Saturday night with an open air ball in Market Place, the huge crowd keeping the fun going till midnight. Today a big party of townspeople accompanied North Island visitors to Picton and accorded them an enthusiastic send-off in the ferry steamer.
