LEADERSHIP OF PARTY.
LONDON, Sept. 3. Mr Arthur Henderson’s election for Clay Cross has revived speculation as to the Labour leadership. Sir Stafford Cripps lately has been strongly bidding for the leadership. The Daily Mail expresses the opinion that he is the most dangerous rival of Mr Henderson, who for the present is expected to concentrate on the promotion of a disarmament convention and improving Labour’s organisation.

According i to the News-Chronicle’s political correspondent Mr Arthur Henderson’s election for Clay Cross definitely does not raise the question of his succeeding Mr G. Lansbury as leader of the Labour Parliamentary Party.
