ITALY AND SOVIET.
BENEFITS OF TREATY. not causative. (Times Cables.) Received May 8, 8.55 a.m. ROME, May 6. The new Italo-Soviet trade treaty signed by Russia in 1933 will place £2,250,000 orders for Italian machinery and textiles. Italy wiil buy % Russian coal, oil and lumber.
The Soviet denies that the arrangement was hastened in consequence of the British embargo.
