RESUSCITATING “GUNS.”
EQUIPMENT FOR BRITISH POLICE The British police ore being equipped with newly invented resuscitating ‘guns” for reviving the apparently drowned and those suffering from coal gas or petrol fumes. The “guns” provide a method of administering carbon dioxide mixed with air, which stimulates the respiratory centres when the patient is in a state of paralysis. The treatment is also valuable for whooping cough, asthma, and pneumonia in children.
