VOYAGE ON BARQUE.

There are three passengers, including a woman, on the Finnish barque Passat, which arrived from the Seychelles after a. stormy voyage, of 73 days without touching port. They are Mr N. Hughes, of Birkenhead, England, who is travelling for his health, Captain M. 0. MeClenagan, a retired master mariner, who is making a round voyage, and Miss C. A. Nicholls, of Auckland, who some time ago wont for a trip to the Seychelles and found that the only way "of getting back to Auckland was' bv the barque. They have all enjoyed the trip though it was very rough at times. Oil Tasmania the ship encountered a storm with a ga.lo of 90 miles an hour, the decks being continually awash, Tlio main articles of food for the passengers wore salt, beef, suit pork,.fish and margarine in place of butter. AVlion tho vessel arrived later than was anticipated there was only a week’s supply of food left. The liarquo will return to England via Australia completing a -10,000 miles round trip.
