ALL SAINTS’ MEN’S CLUB.

OPENING SOCIAL HELD. The opening social evening for the new season was held by the All Saints’ Men’s Club last evening, when there was a large attendance. Cards occupied the first hour, after which Air J. L. Harwood (vice-president) gave an interesting and instructive talk on current topics. A competition conducted by Mr J. Renwick was won by Mr E. F. Paynter. Community singing was led by Mr T. J. Smith and much enjoyed. The secretary (Mr A. Dryden) read an interesting letter from Rev. H. S. Kenney, at present in England, who sent his kind regards to all members. Mention was made of the illness of Mr F. W. Christian, also that Air D. S. Dale was improving and now out ot ‘hospital. After an informal chat pnd supper a very successful and efijovable evening was brought to a close.
