PRESSURE FALLING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. The anti-cyclone which has controlled New Zealand weather for the past few days is now centred over the country. Pressure is now falling slowly over the Tasman Sea, a fairly deep depression having passed Tasmania last night. The forecast is for light and variable winds, but northerlies prevailing and later ’ freshening. The weather will be fair to cloudy and warm; seas smooth to moderate. MANAWATU RIVER GAUGE. Noon —lft.
