WASHINGTON, Jan. 25. “Organised labour has reached the end of its patience, and we shall use our might to compel the plain remedies withheld by those whose misfeas- ‘ ance caused our woe,” declared Mr W. Green, president of Hie American m Federation of Labour, to-day in. an interview published in The Nation’s |I Business, the official magazine of the # United States Chamber of Commerce. S Pointing out that American labour |f has not suddenly become revolutioni;i ary Mr Green declared: “Necessity i dictates that now is the time to fight I n battle for the restoration of the t safeguards confiscated by pillaging I bands of exploiters.” s: Mr Green has been advocating Coni' K ressional measures for a six-hour day I and five-day week as a means of stabif lising employment. Their passage dur- | j ng the present session is highly r doubtful.
