FATAL BOXING BOUT.

INQUEST ON VICTIM,

SYDNEY, Jan. 25

The city Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death in the case of Frederick Johnson, boxer.

After being severely punished in a boxing match at the Leicliardt Stadium on January 10, Frederick Johnson, of Alexandria, died in hospital early next morning. The cause of death apparently was a fractured skull. The bout was a hard one, Johnson’s opponent being Harry Lister, who wore the silver fem of New Zealand. It was scheduled to last 10 rounds, but in the eighth Johnson was knocked out.
