HEAVY EXPENSES. Received January 26, 10.10 a.m. ADELAIDE, Jan. 26. Mr Hegarty, the president of the South Australian Sportsmen’s Club, told the Betting Commission that sum of about £200,000 per year was paid to avoid police interference and for other expenses in the metropolitan area.
